‘Yeongang’ is a word referring to Imjin River flowing in Yeoncheon, a beautiful water regionnd you can see a glimpse of its beauty through ≪Yeongangimsulcheop≫ containing and , the best masterpieces drawn by Gyeomjae Jeongseon, the master of actual landscape painting during his heyday.
It can be seen that geologically, lava erupted in Cenozoic Quaternary Pyeonggang, North Korea flew in Hantan River and flew backward again in Imjin River and flew to this Gunnammyeon Seongokri and four-direction rivers are developed to east and west. Yeongang Narutgil where you can see natural scenery and nests of various native plants and animals at a glance is total 16km section leading to Yeoncheon County Gunnammyeon Seongokri Crane Town –Jungmyeon Samgotri Dolmuji Grave-Taepung Observatory.
This road where elegant water flowing from the north meets the South Korean Land for the first time after crossing the ceasefire line is also the first road below Gyeonggi-do northernmost DMZ containing Koreans’ heartbroken wish praying for peace.
